places have instruments but probably not the books

Musician's Friend

Beginner's choose a book from the list below
for the type of music they want to play. Intermediate
and advanced students call to discuss their goals and
the guitar teacher recommends the appropriate books. At
lessons you
use the teacher's amp, cables, music stand, guitar
footstool and
tuner. Here is what you need for lessons:
Children
Guitar.
The following things are Required: NYLON
string classical guitar or an electric guitar (1/2, 3/4
or full size) that plays well and stays in tune -
Recommended Instruments, Mel Bay's Children's Guitar Book 1 (Mel
Bay Pub.), guitar footstool, picks, soft-shell
guitar bag with pocket. Steel string acoustic
guitars are too painful for children to hold multiple
strings down at once. Most children use a 3/4 size
classical. Come in and we will fit your student for the
right size instrument. Optional: music stand,
tuner, capo (to shorten the neck if the guitar is too
long).
Ukulele.
The
following things are Required: a ukulele
that plays well and stays in tune -
Recommended Instruments,
Alfred Kids Ukulele Course 1 Book & CD, a ukulele,
soft-shell bag or hard case. We will fit your student for the right
size ukulele (soprano - smallest, concert, tenor,
baritone - biggest). Ukulele's only come with nylon
strings like a classical guitar. Optional: music stand, tuner.
Teens
Required: full size
